Are you ready to start drinking on St. Patty's Day and wake up fresh, instead of hungover, the next morning?
Instead of reaching for the brew- go for the blend, and make a green smoothie.
Greens are superfoods that give you energy and vitality. Greens are rich in chlorophyll, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins C, E and K. In addition to the loads of minerals and vitamins, these greens help with digestion and bowel movements, regulate blood sugar, and cleanse the body of toxins (great if you have been pigging out lately).
This quick, easy, and fantastic recipe will give your skin an amazing glow and leave you feeling energized.
Toss these ingredients into a blender:
2 handfuls of any combo of dark leafy greens (swiss chard, spinach, etc.)
½ a banana
½ an apple
½ kiwi
Add ¼ to ½ cup of water and ice
Blend thoroughly until the consistency looks tasty. If you want something a little sweeter, add some extra fruit (mango, apple or banana).
As long as it's green, you'll reap all the benefits.
What a way to sip off your St. Patty's Day.
Good Luck.
