The Key To Relationships
People say the key to a successful relationship is communication. However, expressing your thoughts and feelings to others is not that easy.
From time to time you get irritated by your lover, relatives, co-workers and friends. Anger can make your temperature rise and the blood in your veins start to boil. You want to scream or shout or about what's bothering you.
On top of everything else you're juggling, the last thing you need is to waste precious time or energy arguing. You try to remain calm and not say anything mean. You really don’t want to hurt other people's feelings.
Almost all fault finding has the potential to be wounding. Avoid using words such as 'always' and 'never,' which are sharp and cutting. Diffuse an argument by listening more. Put your energy into being conscious of your words and tone of voice. This can be hard, but work on saying what you want nicely, with a softer tone. Be mindful of your comments. Think first. Then ask yourself: 'Is this okay to say?
Frame your words in a nice way to have a better chance at a positive and productive outcome. And when someone says something that makes you want to lash out on them, press your tongue to the roof of your mouth to stop yourself from saying something rude.
Remember, when it comes to love, communication is the fuel that fans the flames. The words you choose can be the difference between a relationship where there’s constant drama or one that is blissful and romantic.
